About The Position
Destination Pet is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) for their Ortega Animal Care Center in San Juan Capistrano, CA. This role encourages RVTs to work at the top of their license and serve as clinical leaders, ensuring medical excellence with a patient-first mindset. The practice follows AAHA utilization guidance consistently and is committed to providing a supportive environment for credentialed technicians.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) state license.
- Dentistry experience is a plus!
Responsibilities
- Anesthesia & Analgesia: Full IV catheterization, multimodal pain management, induction, and advanced monitoring/recovery.
- Dentistry: Full-mouth dental radiography, charting, and periodontal therapy (per DVM direction).
- Diagnostics: High-quality radiography/positioning, in-house lab analysis, and sample collection.
- Nursing & Triage: Critical patient monitoring, advanced wound care, and managing catheters/feeding tubes.
- Workflow Leadership: Leading tech appointments, team huddles, and mentoring assistants/externs.
