About The Position
Independence Veterinary Clinic is hiring a Registered Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to patients and exceptional service to clients. The role supports veterinarians with patient care and procedures, communicates with clients, and helps maintain clean, stocked, and safe clinical areas. The clinic provides personalized, compassionate care tailored to pets and their families, with an emphasis on client education, trust, and strong relationships. The clinic is committed to an inclusive culture that celebrates diversity. The salary is $23–$26 per hour, determined by the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications. A $500 sign-on bonus is offered. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM–6:00 PM, with a four-day workweek and no weekend hours.
Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification is required.
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
- Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
- Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities
- Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
- Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
- Communicate clearly with clients, including providing care instructions and status updates.
- Perform technical duties such as laboratory work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
- Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
- Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
- Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
