In addition, Partner Veterinary has a dedicated Learning and Development Department, to help credentialed technicians achieve your goals, supported by two veterinary technician specialists (VTS) Heather Carter and Christine Weaver . Our Training Department has an impressive track record of helping Technicians achieve advanced certifications such as a VTS, CVPP, and/or CVRP. To set you up for success from day 1, We gift you a wellness week of PTO after 90 days in your position. This includes 30-40 hours of extra time off dependent upon your weekly schedule. Partner Veterinary recognizes the demand that is on RVTs, and this wellness week allows you to rest and relax with a week off after your initial 90 days. What does your day look like at Partner? The PVESC Surgical Registered Veterinary Technician’s emphasis is on high caliber anesthesia and preparing patients for surgical procedures. You will scrub into surgical procedures on an as-needed basis to directly assist the surgeon, maintaining strict sterile technique, and anticipate surgical needs and provide instruments, sutures, and materials efficiently during procedures. You'll assist with proper instrument sterilization, surgical pack preparation, and operating room turnover. In addition to the procedural workflows, you will communicate with clients and the referring community while supporting the surgery team through instrument preparation and maintaining accurate medical records. You will work with unique and varied cases, and you have the resources that enable optimal patient outcomes.
