About The Position

The Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital (NIVES) is a 24-hour referral and critical care hospital located in Fort Wayne, IN. NIVES provides specialized care in Small Animal Surgery, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Critical Care Services. We serve the clients of NE Indiana, SE Michigan & SW Ohio. We are looking to add a Registered Veterinary Technician to support our Surgery team! Ideal candidates are friendly, detail oriented, and have strong multi-tasking skills. All candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle difficult situations with sensitivity and tact. We have an extensive training period. If you’re committed to learning, we can provide the opportunity!

Requirements

• RVT - High School Diploma or GED, VTNE and veterinary technician state license required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the surgeon
• Anesthesia monitoring
• Radiology
• Blood draws

• Client communication/patient discharge
• Other duties as assigned
