About The Position
Alta Vista Specialty & Emergency is excited to welcome a dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician, Specialty Technical Lead, to our team of skilled veterinary professionals. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside and support our board-certified specialists, gaining valuable experience and knowledge in a collaborative environment. While our network is large, we still offer that local community feeling, mentorship, and additional training! Our specialty team members are our superstars of all things patient care related. These caring and dedicated individuals ensure that all hospitalized patients are treated like one of their own during their stay. Working directly with our board-certified specialists and support teams providing care in surgery, behaviour, anesthesia, dentistry, critical care, internal medicine, neurology and ophthalmology and have access to on-site MRI, Fluoroscopy and CT diagnostics. With a dedicated staff of 160, including 30+ veterinarians, we offer excellence in veterinary medicine because we are passionate about what we do!
Requirements
- Have completed a Veterinary Technician program.
- Strong leadership to oversea specialty department support teams while offering suggestions to support improved patient care and efficiency.
- Ability to keep detailed and organized records.
- Compassionate care for our hospitalized patients and their pet parents
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude, including the ability to ask clarifying questions to facilitate effective solution-finding
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues and pet parents.
- Passion to learn more within the role.
- A love for all companion animals!!
