Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) - Blue Sky Animal Hospital
About The Position
Blue Sky Animal Hospital, serving the North Bay and surrounding area for 20 years, is seeking a compassionate and fun-loving Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join their highly skilled team. The hospital offers advanced services including laser surgery, stem cell therapy, dentistry, and cold laser therapy, along with a fully equipped in-house lab and digital radiology. The knowledgeable staff is eager to collaborate and share expertise. This role is ideal for an RVT who excels at building positive client relationships through genuine care, respect, and exceptional customer service. The RVT will also support veterinarians in medical, surgical, and dental procedures by utilizing diagnostic equipment, preparing patients and instruments for surgery, and administering/monitoring medications under veterinary direction.
Requirements
- Must have passed the VTNE or be eligible to write the VTNE.
- Be in good standing with the provincial regulatory association.
- Successfully completed a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures.
- Use a range of diagnostic equipment.
- Prepare patients, instruments and equipment for surgery.
- Administer and monitor medicines under the direction of a Veterinarian.
- Build positive client relationships by displaying genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets.
- Be respectful in all interactions.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
