About The Position

Worthington Woods Animal Care Center is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join their fun, hardworking team. This position is ideal for candidates with strong technical skills and experience, who are driven and eager for career growth, with an ambition to join the management team and develop into a future team Lead. The practice is a 4-doctor, family-operated practice where team opinions and ideas are respected and encouraged at regular team meetings. The team supports one another and loves to collaborate.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of veterinary technician experience
  • Active and good-standing Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of Ohio
  • A good human who is kind and knows how to play well with pets and people
  • Dedicated professional who takes pride in their work and seeks to provide a memorable client experience with each appointment
  • Strong communicator with a desire to foster lasting relationships with clients, their pets, and other WWACC team members
  • Willingness to continually learn, grow, and improve
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong critical thinking and attention to detail
  • Effective teamwork and professional communication skills
  • Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning
  • Out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent patient care during surgical and dental procedures - including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental cleanings and radiographs.
  • Review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and address client questions with empathy and clarity.
  • Collaborate with your team to support the veterinarian’s orders during outpatient visits, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
  • Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring
  • Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery
  • Surgical assistance and aseptic technique
  • Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
  • Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
  • Radiology positioning and safety protocols
  • Medication administration and accurate drug calculations
  • Client education and communication
