About The Position

Colorado Animal Specialty & Emergency (CASE) is seeking Overnight ER/ICU Veterinary Technicians to join their growing team. This role is crucial in providing safe and effective care to critically ill and emergency patients under the supervision of specialists and emergency doctors. CASE is a state-of-the-art, 35,000+ square-foot specialty and emergency hospital located in Boulder, Colorado, offering advanced care across multiple specialties and 24/7 emergency services. Requirements

Must be CVT, LVT, RVT, or PVT certified in Colorado.
Two years in emergency/critical care preferred.
Strong technical and communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Strong technical skills in veterinary procedures.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
On-Call Requirement: One shift every 4 weeks after training completion.
Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required.

Nice To Haves

Fluency in multiple languages a plus.

Responsibilities

Triage and manage emergency calls and walk-ins.
Conduct patient assessments and provide comprehensive nursing care.
Perform venipuncture and place catheters.
Execute emergency procedures such as airway management and oxygen administration.
Process and evaluate lab specimens, run CBCs, coagulation tests, and handle urinalysis.
Engage with pet owners, provide discharge instructions, and support clients with empathetic communication.
Maintain and stock ICU supplies.
Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
Handle reception tasks as needed.
