About The Position
Veritas Veterinary Partners is seeking Registered Veterinary Technicians for specialty and critical care departments within their network of state-of-the-art facilities. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside board-certified specialists and experienced clinicians on complex cases, utilizing advanced technology. The Pet Emergency & Specialty Center of Marin (PESCM), a Veritas partner hospital, is a 24/7 facility in San Rafael, CA, offering specialties in Internal Medicine, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Surgery, Neurology, Cardiology, Urgent Care, Emergency, Radiology, and Critical Care. Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Technicians preferred, but will consider unlicensed techs
- 2+ years working in a veterinary clinic
- Emergency or specialty experience a plus
- Reliable, organized, and committed to providing high-level patient and client care
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- All current positions require the ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
Nice To Haves
- Additional fluency in other languages is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Venipuncture, catheter placement, and diagnostic sample collection
- Anesthesia monitoring, sedation, and procedures
- Placing IV catheters and managing fluid therapy
- Medication calculation and administration (IV, IM, SQ)
- Diagnostic imaging assistance (radiographs, ultrasound support)
- Monitoring hospitalized patients and providing compassionate nursing care
- Surgical prep, sterile technique, and instrument handling
- Patient monitoring and pain scoring, with trend recognition
