About The Position

The Heart & Vascular Specialists Clinic is a well-established Cardiovascular clinic whose priority is to bring reliable healthcare to the community it serves. It offers cardiac and vascular testing to meet the needs of its patients and fosters teamwork between providers, clinical staff, and ancillary staff, emphasizing compassion and empathy towards patients and their family members. This role is full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with 25% travel to surrounding clinics as needed (mileage reimbursement provided).

Requirements

  • 1 Year Related experience in a Vascular Laboratory (required)
  • RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist Upon Hire (required) or RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer Upon Hire (required)
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support Exception Quarterly 90 Days Upon Hire (required)
  • Possess an excellent working knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary anatomy/pathology, the cardiac patient, and treatment of cardiac diseases
  • Have working knowledge of vascular arterial and venous anatomy for carotid and peripheral vasculature
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Have good computer skills
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree Related field (preferred)
  • Graduate of Accredited Ultrasound Technology Program (preferred)
  • Proficient in all Cardiac related Vascular Ultrasounds (strongly preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Registered Vascular Technician Process.
  • Performs diagnostic carotid arterials and venous studies of upper and lower extremities and venous studies of patients with suspected peripheral vascular disease by following ICAVL guidelines.
  • Prepares and maintains operations logs and calibrates and maintains equipment, and orders supplies when necessary.
  • Explains procedures to patients to obtain cooperation and reduce anxieties.
  • Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers about changes in patient’s clinical conditions while undergoing vascular procedure.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Conducts vascular laboratory studies in accordance with the vascular laboratory protocols.
  • Ensures that all vascular laboratory studies are scheduled in an appropriate manner to satisfy the clinical situation.
  • Maintains the vascular laboratory quality assurance database.
  • Reviews test results with interpreting physician.
