About The Position
The Registered Vascular Technician (RVT/RVS) will perform high-quality vascular ultrasound examinations, explain procedures to patients, prepare examination rooms, review previous examinations, document findings, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. This role involves collaborating with the vascular laboratory team to ensure a positive patient experience.
Requirements
- Current RVT or RVS certification
- Current BLS certification
- 2+ years of experience performing a broad range of non-invasive vascular ultrasound examinations
- Strong knowledge of vascular ultrasound techniques and protocols
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills
- Team-oriented attitude and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently and confidently in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality carotid duplex, peripheral arterial, venous reflux, and venous duplex examinations according to lab protocols and IAC standards
- Explain procedures clearly and compassionately to patients
- Prepare patients and examination rooms before testing
- Review previous examinations when applicable and identify/document relevant changes
- Prepare summarized findings for the interpreting physician
- Enter preliminary results and documentation into the electronic medical record
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked examination room
- Work collaboratively with the vascular laboratory team to maintain an efficient, positive patient experience
