About The Position

A registered or registry eligible sonographer who is responsible for vascular diagnostic exams including ultrasounds in any area of the hospital including special care units. May be assigned supervisory responsibilities when adequately prepared. Participate in rotating call schedule for nights and weekends. Must be willing to learn echocardiogram procedures as required.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program or appropriate training in vascular technology and sonography.
• Registered preferred or registry eligible per ARDMS or CCI requirements.
• ACLS certification required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, associates, patients and visitors.
• Ability to work under stress.

Responsibilities

• Perform vascular diagnostic exams including ultrasounds in any area of the hospital including special care units.
• Participate in rotating call schedule for nights and weekends.
• Learn echocardiogram procedures as required.
• Deliver appropriate care to patients from neonatal through geriatrics with regards to age specific considerations.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, associates, patients and visitors.
