About The Position

Humber River Health is seeking a Registered Ultrasound Technologist to join their Medical Imaging team. This is a part-time position with rotating 8-hour shifts on weekdays, evenings, nights, and/or weekends. The role involves performing general ultrasound duties, including abdomen, O.B./gyn., small parts, vascular Doppler, MSK, and breast examinations. Responsibilities include preparing and assessing patients, conducting ultrasound exams, reviewing images, completing sonographer's impression sheets, and presenting findings to radiologists via PACS.

Requirements

• Must be registered or in the process of obtaining registration and in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
• Must have Personal Liability Insurance (PLI)
• Strong documentation skills required
• Excellent knowledge of anatomy required
• Ability to work independently as well as within a group environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must have good teamwork and customer service skills
• Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.

Nice To Haves

• Accredited college diploma preferred
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with all aspects of ultrasound preferred
• Previous US experience within a hospital setting preferred
• An understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as they relate to health practices is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Performing all general ultrasound duties, and other duties as assigned, including abdomen, O.B./gyn., small parts, vascular Doppler, MSK, breast.
• Prepare and assess patients for ultrasound exam including confirm exam validity based on history provided
• Complete exam process by image review, completing sonographers impression sheet, confirming documentation and presenting to radiologists for reporting via PACS
