About The Position
The Registered Sonographer operates complex equipment to produce high quality sonograms. This individual collaborates with the Radiologist, the manager, and the staff in developing, implementing, and evaluating department procedures and protocols. This position has direct patient care, access to confidential patient information and makes decisions independently and in collaboration with the Radiologist, the manager and the staff. This individual works under the indirect supervision of the Radiology Manager.
Requirements
- Registered Sonographer certification
- Ability to operate complex equipment
- Ability to collaborate with Radiologist, manager, and staff
- Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate department procedures and protocols
- Ability to provide direct patient care
- Ability to access confidential patient information
- Ability to make independent decisions and collaborate with others
