About The Position
As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. You'll be responsible for performing sonographic exams, assisting physicians with procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout their experience.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- Active ARDMS certification in appropriate specialties
- BLS certification (or obtained within 90 days of hire)
- At least 1 year of full-time sonography experience
- Strong understanding of anatomy, pathology, and sonographic principles
- Excellent communication and independent judgment skills
Responsibilities
- Performing diagnostic ultrasound exams as ordered by physicians
- Operating and maintaining sonographic equipment
- Assisting with invasive procedures using sterile techniques
- Preparing preliminary reports and communicating findings as needed
- Maintaining high standards of medical ethics and patient care
- Assisting with department operations including scheduling, supplies, and equipment maintenance
- Supporting the training and mentoring of new employees and interns
