About The Position

This position requires a Registered Sleep Lab Tech to work on an as-needed basis (PRN). The role involves monitoring patient sleep studies, precisely carrying out physician's orders, and assisting in patient care decisions. The job demands attention to detail and the ability to handle stressful situations. Physical requirements include standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, bending, and positioning patients for monitoring, as well as sitting for extended periods to watch monitors and assist patients.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a sleep lab training program is required.
• Must be certified by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists or will have certification within 1 year of hire date.
• Must be current in BLS within 6 months of hire.
• Requires attention to detail.
• Requires the ability to withstand the stress of life and death situations.
• Involves standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, bending at the waist and positioning patients to attach to monitors.
• Must be able to sit and watch monitor for hours and assist patient as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of an accredited school of respiratory services preferred.
