Shriners Children’s Chicago has an opportunity for a PRN Operating Room RN. Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives. Our OR team enjoys a quality work-life balance schedule with no scheduled OR cases on weekends and holidays. Will need to take call at least 1x/week and rotating weekends.
Requirements
- BSN degree required or in progress
- Illinois RN license
- 2+ years OR experience
Nice To Haves
- CNOR highly preferred
- Scrub experience
- Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery, orthopedic and spine experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the operating room.
- Performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe during surgery.
- Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient and to provide continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
