About The Position

The Registered Respiratory Therapist will function in both the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The role requires pediatric critical care or NICU experience and the ability to provide respiratory care for patients using invasive and non-invasive ventilation and related respiratory therapies. Epic Clin Doc charting experience is preferred. Flu vaccination is required; exemptions are not allowed.

Requirements

• Wisconsin license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential; RRT is required.
• AHA BLS certification.
• AHA PALS certification.
• NRP certification.
• Associate degree.
• 3–5 years of experience.
• Pediatric critical care or NICU experience.
• PICU experience.
• Ability to function in the PICU and Level IV NICU.
• Knowledge of invasive and non-invasive ventilation, CPAP, BiPAP, RAM cannula, NAVA ventilation, PEP, and INO.
• Flu vaccination; exemptions are not permitted.

Nice To Haves

• Epic Clin Doc charting experience.

Responsibilities

• Function in the PICU and Level IV NICU.
• Provide respiratory care involving invasive and non-invasive ventilation and the respiratory therapies and equipment listed in the posting.
• Chart using Epic Clin Doc, if experienced with the system.
