The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will administer therapeutic procedures, initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical and non-invasive ventilators, and perform diagnostic procedures. This role involves independently evaluating current therapies, making recommendations, documenting care, and communicating with the healthcare team. The RRT will also initiate and modify respiratory care techniques in emergency settings, perform and evaluate blood gas analysis, and work independently in all patient care areas, assisting coworkers as needed. Proficiency in electronic medical records and adherence to departmental safety guidelines and regulatory requirements are essential. The position requires demonstrating knowledge of growth and development principles and skills appropriate to the patient population served.
