About The Position
Ascension is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist for Ascension Columbia St. Mary's Milwaukee in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, within Ascension Premier Staffing’s Respiratory Therapy department. Local and national travel options are available depending on need. A night shift is available, with a schedule of 36 hours per week. The gross rate is up to $2,713 per week. The therapist assesses patients, develops and implements individualized care plans, and monitors associated equipment. The role includes performing advanced respiratory care modalities, responding to emergency resuscitation codes, communicating patient conditions, evaluating respiratory practices and medication administration based on outcomes, and educating patients and families about health conditions and community support resources. Requirements
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- One of the following must be obtained before hire or job transfer: Respiratory Care Practitioner credential, or Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- High school diploma equivalency with two years of cumulative experience, or an associate's or technical degree, or four years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
- One year or more of recent Registered Respiratory Therapist experience is listed as an additional preference.

- Neonatal Resuscitation credential from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- One year or more of recent Registered Respiratory Therapist experience.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients and develop and implement individualized care plans.
