About The Position

St. Christopher's Hospital for Children is seeking a PRN Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide expert respiratory care to infants, children, and adolescents. This PRN opportunity offers flexible scheduling, competitive compensation, and the chance to work with a collaborative pediatric care team. You will provide comprehensive respiratory care, manage mechanical ventilation, administer oxygen therapy and medications, perform blood gas analysis, and respond to respiratory emergencies. The role involves collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure exceptional patient outcomes and participating in ongoing education.

Requirements

2 year/Associate Degree - OR - combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Associate Degree
Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
Relevant Experience
PA Respiratory Therapist License
BLS Certification
NBRC Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT)

Responsibilities

Providing respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, and adolescent patients
Managing mechanical ventilation and advanced airway therapies
Administering oxygen therapy, specialty gases, and aerosolized medications
Performing arterial blood gas analysis and patient assessments
Delivering chest physiotherapy and other respiratory treatments
Responding confidently to respiratory emergencies
Collaborating with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure the highest quality patient care
Participating in ongoing education and maintaining clinical competencies
