About The Position

This role involves evaluating patients with respiratory insufficiencies to determine the appropriate type and frequency of treatments, developing a customized plan of care based on their specific diagnosis. The Registered Respiratory Therapist will administer advanced respiratory care modalities, manage specialized equipment, and respond rapidly as a member of the emergency resuscitation code team. They will continuously monitor, record, and communicate changes in patient condition, evaluating the effectiveness of practices, medications, and treatments based on patient outcomes. Additionally, the role includes educating patients and their families regarding their respiratory health conditions, while connecting them with community support groups and available care programs.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Florida Board of Respiratory Care obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
