About The Position

This is a part-time position for a Registered Respiratory Therapist working a 12-hour night shift (7pm-7:30am) in Silver Spring, MD. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, collaborating with physicians and other medical professionals, and providing care for patients of all age groups. The therapist will utilize knowledge of growth and development principles appropriate to the patient's age and involve appropriate parties in patient care as needed. The position supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.

Requirements

Registry with the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
Current licensure from the state of Maryland as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
Current CPR training with recertification every two years.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Nice To Haves

At least one (1) year of clinical experience preferred

Responsibilities

Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care to a specified group of patients.
Collaborates with physicians, medical professionals and other staff to ensure the quality of care given.
Provides care for the neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric patient (as defined in the unit scope of care).
Utilizes knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the patient’s age to ensure that care provided meets the unique, physical and psychosocial needs of the patient.
Involves appropriate parties (i.e.; patient’s family or guardian, outside agencies) in the assessment, treatment and continuing care of the patient as needed.
Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.
