Registered Respiratory Therapist – Flower Hospital
About The Position
When a patient has a severe respiratory condition in a ProMedica hospital, a Registered Respiratory Therapist provides the care they need in a general, clinical, emergency, and/or diagnostic care area. This role involves helping to create a care plan, evaluating goals, and maintaining communication with appropriate members of a patient’s health care team. Additionally, the therapist will assist with clinical instruction for respiratory care, nursing, medical students, and residents as needed, and will help orient new staff and contribute to the growth of others to strengthen the team.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
- Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Licensed to provide respiratory care services by the state where work is performed
- Current BLS
Nice To Haves
- ACLS, NRP, and PALS certification is recommended, and may be at some business units
- Membership in the American Association of Respiratory Care
Responsibilities
