Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Program
  • Provides care as appropriate to age of population served.
  • Proficient in safely providing all routine and emergent respiratory modalities.
  • Able to assess patients and provide patient care per protocol.
  • Possesses assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Possesses in depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Adheres to infection prevention practices and facility safety policies and procedures.
  • Missouri State License for Respiratory
  • RRT credential from the NBRC (If applicable)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy

Responsibilities

  • Leads the team in performing all respiratory procedures and protocols, testing, and CPR in all areas of the hospital as directed by the supervisor.
  • Provide accurate and appropriate electronic documentation.
  • Provide accurate and appropriate education to patients, students and new staff.
  • Able to provide assessment of patients to determine appropriate respiratory care plan.
  • Able to communicate effectively to act as a professional resource to the healthcare team.
