Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), PT Day Shift, Acute Care
About The Position
White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Respiratory Therapist who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) you will be responsible for maintaining the atmosphere and environment associated with a clinical patient setting, performing AIDET, Mission and Motion initiatives, and displaying AHC RISES values 100% of the time. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, documenting, and evaluating patients on invasive and non-invasive ventilation, delivering Respiratory services and medications via proper modalities on all age groups, and assessing and documenting patient outcomes via EMR. You will also perform SBAR and participate in rounds in the ICU and NICU, manage patients’ airways for spontaneous breathing and respiratory compromised patients, and perform quality control and maintenance on assigned equipment. You will execute all other duties as required.
Requirements
- Graduate of AMA approved respiratory program
- AS in Respiratory Therapy required
- Registered Respiratory Therapist by NBRC
- Active Maryland State license by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene
- Willing to obtain an advanced certification when eligible
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Nice To Haves
- 2 years (NICU experience for NICU 2791) preferred
- Must obtain an Advanced Certification within the 1st year of employment.
