As an RRT, you will bring your experience and passion for health care to our Respiratory team at Banner University Medical Center Tucson - South Campus (BUMCS)! The BUMCS Respiratory Therapy department is highly engaged in teamwork which allows staff to have the ability to cross train to critical care areas more easily. Since we are an academic center, staff have the ability to interact with medical students and provide input/feedback. There is also the opportunity to assist with academic driven studies. BUMC South Tucson Campus respiratory team a small department which feels like a family environment. Staff and leadership are supportive of one another. Within the department, there are opportunities for growth as a Respiratory therapist. These opportunities include gaining additional experience in respiratory therapy, the ability to float to BUMCT (Main Campus), and being a major part of the multidisciplinary care team. The current available shift is full-time, working 36 hours/week, on Night shift (3 12's from 6 pm - 6:30 am). 4 weekend shifts per schedule period is required. Banner - University Medical Center South is a comprehensive academic medical center that includes an Emergency department, a state-designated trauma center and a Behavioral Health Pavilion. We are an Arizona Department of Health Services-accredited Cardiac Receiving Center and a Nurses Improving Care for Health system Elders-designated senior-friendly hospital. The hospital is staffed by physicians who are full-time faculty of the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson and is managed by Banner Health under an operating agreement with Pima County. Our specialty services include inpatient and outpatient behavioral health, treatment and education for diabetes, innovative geriatrics care and comprehensive orthopedics. POSITION SUMMARY This position independently provides respiratory care, pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing to patients in a variety of health care settings.
