About The Position

Nazareth Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a Respiratory Therapist to join our team! This is a full-time position with a 12-hour night shift. Under the supervision of the department manager and upon physician order, the Respiratory Therapist will set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease or illness. This role also involves the delivery of medications to help control respiratory ailments.

Requirements

• HS graduate or equivalent
• Graduate of an AMA approved respiratory therapy program
• Current PA license in Respiratory Therapy.
• Must be registered by the NBRC
• BCLS required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence in providing Oxygen Therapy
• Demonstrates competence in Arterial Blood Gas Sampling
• Demonstrates competence in Pulmonary toilet/oropharyngeal suctioning.
• Set up and maintain ventilator functions
• Appropriate use of oximetry device
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, medications, etc.
