About The Position
Texas Health Alliance’s Respiratory Care department is looking for a top skilled RRT. This position is PRN Days and operates within a team-based environment with a strong focus on lean principles, individual performance, and a highly engaged management team. The hospital, Texas Health Alliance, is a 151-bed, full-service facility serving the North Fort Worth area since 2012. It is Joint Commission-accredited with a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, a Baby Friendly Facility, and a Pathways to Excellence designated hospital.
Requirements
- Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Care Program required
- Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
- RCP - Respiratory Care Practitioner upon hire required
- RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist upon hire required
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 days required
- NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 days required
- NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 days required
Nice To Haves
- 1 year med/surg or critical care experience preferred
- NICU experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Obtains/verifies physician order for therapy and validate for appropriateness.
- Reviews available medical records and obtain pertinent medical history from patient or family.
- Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment.
- Performs treatment procedures that are within the scope of the professional license.
- Documents verification of physician orders prior to delivery of care.
- Documents aspects of each treatment session in accordance with departmental, JCAHO, Medicare, and other applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Utilizes available resources (equipment, support personnel, educational resources) to maximize efficiency and productivity and meet departmental needs.
- Participates in orientation and training of students and new employees.
- Other duties as assigned.
