About The Position

This role involves providing comprehensive evaluation and care for patients experiencing respiratory insufficiencies. The Registered Respiratory Therapist will assess patients to determine the appropriate type and frequency of respiratory treatment and develop an individualized plan of care based on their diagnosis. This includes implementing and continuously monitoring the patient care plan and associated respiratory equipment, as well as accurately recording and effectively communicating changes in the patient's condition to the care team.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Cross accepted.
Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained within 4 Months (120 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Respiratory Therapist specializing in Critical Care credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred.
Respiratory Therapist specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred.
Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred.
Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) from National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred.
1 year work experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist strongly preferred.
