About The Position

Henry Ford Health is hiring a Respiratory Therapist for Henry Ford Health Novi Hospital. The role primarily provides life-support, resuscitation, and medical gases therapy to critical care patients in Intensive Care Units. The therapist performs invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures for Intensive Care and General Practice Units, maintains clinical expertise across assigned business units, and helps ensure high-quality patient care through accurate documentation and communication with healthcare teams. The role also includes supervising respiratory students and externs and completing patient billing information.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapist program.
• Associate of Science Degree (minimum).
• Be a recent graduate or have two years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience in a Tertiary Hospital.
• Registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• Current Respiratory Therapist License in the State of Michigan; new graduates have 90 days to obtain the license.

Responsibilities

• Deliver life-support, resuscitation, and medical gases therapy to critical care patients.

• Communicate with patients, co-workers, physicians, and other system employees regarding patient care needs.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately.
