About The Position

This is a Full-Time, Nights position for a Registered Respiratory Therapist at Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital. The role involves coordinating and supervising clinical activities of the cardiopulmonary staff, ensuring the quality of care administered as per physician orders or protocol, conducting new employee orientation, coordinating staff continuing education, maintaining and evaluating supplies and equipment, ensuring compliance with JCAHO standards and organizational clinical policies, assisting in the development and implementation of departmental goals, and providing direct patient care as needed.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care required.
  • Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care required.
  • Currently licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner for the state of applicable state required.
  • Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy with a minimum of two years in a Respiratory Care Department or a RRT equivalent with a minimum of five years in a Respiratory Care Department required.
  • Working knowledge of all phases of Respiratory Care technology pertinent to this position.
  • Basic Life Support for healthcare providers thru the American Heart Association required.
  • Advanced certificates per facility policy
