About The Position
Indiana University Health is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join their Cystic Fibrosis Team. This role involves evaluating and treating patients with cardiopulmonary disorders, collaborating with various healthcare professionals, and fulfilling responsibilities as an airway clearance specialist in addition to PFT lab duties. The position is located at the Riley Outpatient Center and requires willingness to travel to South Bend for coverage. The team is dedicated to providing quality, innovation, and education in healthcare.
Requirements
- Current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner from the state of Indiana.
- Graduation from a CoARC and regionally accredited respiratory care program.
- Pass the N.B.R.C. registry exam within 6 months of hire date (void if hire date is one year past graduation date).
- Healthcare Provider Certification.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to deal with confidential patient information.
- Basic computer skills and ability to work with EMR.
Nice To Haves
- RPFT certification within 2 years of hire.
- ACLS certification.
- PALS certification.
- NRP certification.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.
- Collaborate with nurses, Advanced Respiratory Therapists, and Clinical Specialists.
- Fulfill responsibilities of airway clearance specialist.
- Perform PFT lab duties.
- Assist with coverage in South Bend as needed.
