About The Position

A registered respiratory therapist performs critical and non-critical respiratory care procedures and diagnostics through physician directives and respiratory care protocols. The role may include selected cross-training activities and precepting students and new staff as directed, as well as miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Respiratory Care or Science.
• One year of respiratory care experience in an acute care facility.
• Florida RRT license.
• NBRC certification.
• BLS/CPR certification.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification from the AHA.
• NRP certification if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform critical and non-critical respiratory care procedures and diagnostics through physician directives and respiratory care protocols.
• Perform selected cross-training activities as directed.
• Precept students and new staff as directed.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
