About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment in Lansing, MI. This position involves performing therapeutic and diagnostic pulmonary and cardiovascular procedures, delivering respiratory therapy and patient care following physician’s orders, hospital policies, and departmental standards. The role includes evaluating patient response to therapy, providing education to patients and staff, performing routine maintenance on equipment, and maintaining records and documentation.

Requirements

  • Must have 2+ years of RRT experience
  • Must have Ventilator, Bipap, ICU, ER, and ABG trained therapist
  • Must have ACLS & NBRC certification
  • Must pass a dysrhythmia test prior to working on the floor
  • Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment
  • Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect are required.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and reliability
  • Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening and sending e-mail messages.
  • Drug screen and background check (facility required)
  • Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned

Responsibilities

  • Performs therapeutic and diagnostic pulmonary and cardiovascular procedures.
  • Responsible for the delivery of respiratory therapy and patient care following physician’s orders, hospital policies and procedures; and departmental standards of care and standards of practice.
  • Evaluates patient/resident response to respiratory therapy and takes appropriate corrective action.
  • Provides education to patients and staff regarding respiratory procedures, equipment operation, and safety precautions.
  • Performs routine maintenance and service checks on equipment.
  • Maintains records, reports, and other documentation related to the work.
