How you’ll make an impact in this role Patient Evaluation and Care: Provide comprehensive evaluation and care for patients experiencing respiratory insufficiencies. Treatment Planning: Assess patients to determine the appropriate type and frequency of respiratory treatment and develop an individualized plan of care based on their diagnosis. Implementation and Monitoring: Implement and continuously monitor the patient care plan and associated respiratory equipment. Documentation and Communication: Monitor, accurately record, and effectively communicate changes in the patient's condition to the care team.

Requirements

  • Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained within 4 Months (120 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Respiratory Therapist specializing in Critical Care credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred.
  • Respiratory Therapist specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred.
  • Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred. Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) from National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred.
  • Education:
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • ACLS,PALS, and NRP Certified.
