How you’ll make an impact in this role Deliver specialized direct patient care as a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist, evaluating and treating children with acute and chronic respiratory insufficiencies. Assess pediatric patients and develop individualized care plans, implementing advanced respiratory therapy modalities to improve clinical outcomes. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate pediatric respiratory care, support quality improvement initiatives, and enhance patient safety. Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, home care strategies, and community resources to strengthen long-term health outcomes. Respond to emergency code situations, providing critical respiratory support and life-saving interventions for pediatric patients. .
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Respiratory Care Practitioners Certification Program obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required
Nice To Haves
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
