About The Position
Perform diagnostic tests, administer and monitor respiratory therapy, educate patients and families, collaborate with healthcare professionals, maintain patient records, and stay up-to-date with respiratory therapy advancements.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic tests, such as pulmonary function tests, arterial blood gas analysis, and sleep studies.
- Administer and monitor various forms of respiratory therapy, including oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, and inhalation therapy.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, breathing techniques, and the use of respiratory equipment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and sleep technologists, to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records and documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in respiratory therapy and continuously improve patient care processes.
