About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide comprehensive respiratory care services in an acute care hospital setting. This role supports patients across medical-surgical, intensive care, emergency, and women’s services units, delivering both invasive and non-invasive respiratory therapies in alignment with physician orders, departmental protocols, and professional standards.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) experience required (Critical care or Labor & Delivery experience strongly preferred)
NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required (CRT does not qualify)
Active Florida Respiratory Therapist license
Associate Degree from an accredited respiratory care program
BLS required within 30 days of hire
NRP, ACLS, and PALS required within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

Perform and document comprehensive respiratory assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressures
Conduct diagnostic testing to assess respiratory status and treatment effectiveness
Administer respiratory therapies such as oxygen delivery, aerosolized medications, and chest physiotherapy
Assist with artificial airway placement and ongoing airway management
Initiate, monitor, and manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation
Monitor patient response to therapy and intervene appropriately during adverse events
Assist with transport of ventilator-dependent patients
Respond to emergency situations and participate in resuscitation efforts
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
