This position assists in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. The role involves collecting and analyzing sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases, as well as measuring a patient's lung capacity to identify impaired function. The Registered Respiratory Therapist administers treatments prescribed by a physician for patients with breathing abnormalities and assumes primary responsibility for respiratory care treatments. This PRN position primarily covers outpatient clinics including ACNW Pulmonary, ACNW Primary Care, and Rogers Allergy Clinic, with a work shift of Monday - Friday, primarily 0800-1700, with no holidays or weekends. The role also includes performing Pulmonary Function Testing (PFTs) and patient education in these outpatient settings.
