About The Position

Deliver specialized respiratory care by evaluating, treating, and managing patients with breathing insufficiencies to improve their long-term health and comfort. Design tailored care plans based on individual diagnoses, determining the ideal treatment type and frequency to ensure every patient receives personalized attention. Monitor and manage advanced modalities and clinical equipment, tracking patient progress in real-time to maintain safe, high-quality interventions. Empower patients and families through compassionate education about their conditions, providing them with vital community resources and support systems for life outside the hospital. Lead emergency interventions as an active member of the rapid response and resuscitation teams to protect and save lives during critical situations.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Cross accepted.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
