About The Position
This is a full-time, 36-hour night shift position for a Registered Respiratory Therapist specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, GA. A sign-on bonus is available for this role.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required
- Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level Required
- RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners Upon Hire Required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
- ACLS Upon Hire Required
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Upon Hire Required
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
Responsibilities
- Performs patient assessments.
- Performs general and critical care respiratory care procedures.
- Provides respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery.
- Performs blood gas analysis and interpretation.
- Maintains and manages equipment.
- Provides patient and family education in both adult and neonatal areas.
