About The Position
This position works at the UW Health Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL. The role involves 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays, from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm. Requirements
- Graduate of a Commission of Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) Accredited Program for Respiratory Therapy.
- Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in the state of Illinois (within 90 days of passing test for new grads)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Basic Life Support/CPR Certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire.
- Neonatal Pediatric Specialty (NPS) Certification or ability to obtain within 2 years of hire.
Nice To Haves
- 2 years experience as a staff therapist, including work with neonatal and/or pediatric critical care patients.
- Experience working in a patient transport environment.
