About The Position

The Registered Respiratory Therapist II provides independent, high-quality respiratory care across a variety of clinical settings and patient populations. The therapist independently applies clinical knowledge in most practice settings and demonstrates clinical reasoning and decision-making. The role assesses patients, develops and adjusts respiratory care plans, and manages complex patient needs within established standards and protocols.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Co-ARC-approved school of Respiratory Therapy.
• Current applicable state license in Respiratory Care.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification; required to advance to Level II.
• Current BLS certification within 30 days of the start date.
• Current ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications as required by the facility, or obtain them within one year of the start date.
• Minimum of one year of Respiratory Therapy experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent, high-quality respiratory care across clinical settings and patient populations.
• Apply clinical knowledge, reasoning, and decision-making in most practice settings.
• Assess patients and develop and adjust respiratory care plans.
• Manage complex patient needs within established standards and protocols.
