About The Position

This role involves assessing and developing individualized care plans for patients with acute and chronic respiratory insufficiencies. The Registered Respiratory Therapist will implement and perform advanced respiratory care modalities, meticulously monitoring and communicating patient response to treatment and life-support equipment. They will evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory treatments and administered medications, adjusting the plan of care to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The therapist will respond immediately to all emergency resuscitation team codes, providing critical and life-saving respiratory support. Additionally, they will educate patients and their families on managing their health condition and connect them with appropriate community resources and support programs.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Respiratory Care Practitioners Certification Program obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Respiratory Care Practitioner provisional/temporary license will be accepted until license is issued.
  • Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Minimum of 2 recent years of experience as a RRT in Hospital Setting
  • State and National Licensure
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
