About The Position

At St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, our Respiratory Therapists are more than clinicians—they're lifesaving partners in caring for some of the region's most medically complex pediatric patients. As a Respiratory Therapist, you'll provide expert respiratory care to infants, children, and adolescents across a variety of inpatient settings. You'll play a vital role in assessing patients, managing complex therapies, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Requirements

  • 2 year/Associate Degree - OR - combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Associate Degree
  • Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
  • PA Respiratory Therapist License
  • BLS Certification
  • NBRC Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT)

Responsibilities

  • Providing comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric patients
  • Managing mechanical ventilation and advanced airway therapies
  • Administering oxygen therapy, specialty gases, and aerosolized medications
  • Performing arterial blood gas analysis and patient assessments
  • Delivering chest physiotherapy and other respiratory interventions
  • Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and the multidisciplinary care team
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and department education
  • Maintaining clinical competency through ongoing professional development
