About The Position

We are an established insurance and financial services practice looking for a motivated, personable professional to join our team. The ideal candidate is a newly licensed or early-career Registered Representative who is exceptional with clients, confident on the phone, highly organized, and interested in developing a long-term career in financial services. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their financial-services career who wants hands-on experience working directly with an experienced financial professional and an established client base. Our mission is to help people manage the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected and realize their dreams. We help customers with their insurance and financial services needs, including Business Insurance. Our office is located in Huntington Beach, CA. Our office is open 9 am to 6 pm Mon-Fri. I have been a State Farm agent since 2002. We currently have 3 team members at our agency. Additional languages spoken: Spanish. State Farm agents are independent contractors who hire their own employees. State Farm agents’ employees are not employees of State Farm. Agents are responsible for and make all employment decisions regarding their employees.

Requirements

  • Securities licensed or recently licensed, with the ability to become appropriately registered with our broker-dealer
  • Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable making proactive outbound calls
  • Organized, dependable, and exceptional with follow-through
  • Series 6/63/65 or SIE licenses preferred
  • SIE, Series 6/63/65, and other relevant certifications
  • Strong knowledge of investment products and financial markets.
  • Communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain customers relationships.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with financial software and tools.
  • High ethical standards and professionalism.

Nice To Haves

  • Life & Health license preferred
  • Financial-services experience is helpful but not required
  • Coachable, ambitious, and interested in learning and growing into a larger financial-services role

Responsibilities

  • Proactively contacting existing clients and prospects to schedule financial reviews and appointments
  • Managing and maintaining the Agent’s calendar and appointment pipeline
  • Following up with clients on investment, retirement, life insurance, and financial-services opportunities
  • Assisting with preparation and follow-up for client meetings
  • Helping identify additional financial needs within our existing client base
  • Providing excellent client service by phone, email, and virtual meetings
  • Tracking opportunities and ensuring follow-up items are completed
