As a Radiologist Technologist, you will use your knowledge and learned skills to operate various types of x-ray equipment, including stationary unity, mobile machines, C-arms and fluoroscopy systems, to provide physicians with images to help diagnose conditions. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Registered Technologist by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in good standing
  • Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

  • One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist

Responsibilities

  • Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.
  • Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Maintain documentation.
  • Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator.
  • Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients, and process billing.
