About The Position

Provides diagnostic radiographic exams of patient for use by physicians in the development of diagnoses and treatment plans. Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiology.
• Valid American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography.
• State of Nevada License in Radiology.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification accepted by the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Office Lab Assistant License within thirty (30) days of hire (applies only to employees hired into a Quick Care, Primary Care, Express Care, or other ambulatory care cost center as applicable and determined by leadership).
• Knowledge of radiographic examination procedures and protocols.
• Knowledge of diagnostic x-ray equipment.
• Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control measures.
• Knowledge of personal computers.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the human body.
• Knowledge of contrast application and contrast reaction symptoms.
• Knowledge of venipuncture techniques.
• Knowledge of department and hospital safety practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of patient rights.
• Knowledge of infection control policies and practices.
• Knowledge of handling, storage, use and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Knowledge of department and hospital emergency response policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of age specific patient care practices.

• Provides diagnostic radiographic exams of patient for use by physicians in the development of diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Positioning patients properly to maximize results.
• Using diagnostic x-ray exam equipment.
• Preparing and administering contrast solutions.
• Applying radiation safety principles.
• Applying aseptic principles.
• Communicating with a wide variety of people from diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds.
• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all personnel contacted in the course of duties.
• Efficient, effective and safe use of equipment.
