About The Position
Provides diagnostic radiographic exams of patient for use by physicians in the development of diagnoses and treatment plans. Requirements
- Equivalent to graduation from high school and graduation from an accredited school of radiology.
- Must possess valid American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography and State of Nevada License in Radiology.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification accepted by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Office Lab Assistant License within thirty (30) days of hire (applies only to employees hired into a Quick Care, Primary Care, Express Care, or other ambulatory care cost center as applicable and determined by leadership).

- Quality assurance and quality control measures

- Anatomy and physiology of the human body
- Contrast application and contrast reaction symptoms
- Venipuncture techniques
- Department and hospital safety practices and procedures
- Patient rights
- Infection control policies and practices
- Handling, storage, use and disposal of hazardous materials
- Department and hospital emergency response policies and procedures
- Age specific patient care practices
- Positioning patients properly to maximize results
- Using diagnostic x-ray exam equipment
- Preparing and administering contrast solutions
- Applying radiation safety principles
- Applying aseptic principles
- Communicating with a wide variety of people from diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all personnel contacted in the course of duties
- Efficient, effective and safe use of equipment
